How Does it Work?

Lessons in the Adult Piano Program are incredibly engaging and empowering. Students work at their own pace in a modern lab setting with up to six other students, and all have headphones for both the student and teacher at each piano. This allows them to focus on their individual performance while still learning from those around them.

Each pupil is guided through a song and encouraged to scan the piece, look for patterns, try out difficult sections, identify areas for improvement and fix mistakes independently by reflecting on essential questions.

The thoughtful structure of this program also eliminates anxiety as students use red and green signs to communicate when they're ready to move onto the next song or have a question. The teachers provide guidance and feedback throughout the lesson, so that each student can learn more quickly while being supported every step of the way.

Teaching the Adult Piano Program way brings countless advantages to learning piano. This method allows students to learn quickly by working through their songs in each lesson and encourages them to become excellent sight-readers due to the emphasis on independence at the piano.

Students can feel less stressed as well since they are require little to no help with practice at home. Additionally, students will benefit from increased confidence and decreased anxiety while they have time and privacy to work out any mistakes before presenting their work. On top of all that, students are motivated by their peers' hard work and focus and make friends within the studio—creating a sense of community in the process.
